Love Party triumphs in Marmite election battle
Friday, 30 April 2010
The closely-fought battle resulted in the Love Party beating the Hate Party with 51.87% of the vote – the narrowest of margins against a total of 39,891 votes.
Both sides have been campaigning tirelessly over the past few weeks in a bid to attract voters – but in the end, the Love Party triumphed.
The Love Party will fulfill its victory pledge of building a celebratory shrine to Marmite, for lovers to congregate and worship their favourite yeast extract. The monument is expected to be situated within the region of Marmite’s birthplace, Burton-upon-Trent.

The vote spreads evenly!
Friday, 23 April 2010
After the recent televised debate which saw both party leaders go head-to-head, the latest polls reveal that the vote is split equally.
Latest poll:
The Love Party – 50%
The Hate Party – 50%
It seems that despite what can only be described as a minor meltdown by Heaving, (after he was forced to relive a traumatic Marmite related episode from his youth) voters turned out in their droves to support him.
Was the sympathy vote a masterstroke or a complete fluke? Either way, it's clear that every single vote will count in this tightest of election races.
Debate of the century - Love and Hate go head-to-head
Thursday, 22 April 2010
Both parties are primed for a heated debate on key issues like healthcare, the environment and the potential danger of Marmite to cod.
Love Party surge in latest voter poll
Wednesday, 21 April 2010
The election is well under way and after some intense polling in recent days it looks like The Love Party is opening a meaningful lead for the first time.
Latest poll:
The Love Party – 69%
The Hate Party – 31%
The recent swing comes as no surprise after a marked increase in canvassing by Love Party supporters. Many have utilised the freely available (designed by Fay Freely) Love Party support packs across the country.
Does this latest poll spell the end for The Hate Party or can they stage their own comeback? Certainly the pressure would seem to be on Steve Heaving as we head towards this Thursday's much anticipated leadership debate.
Freely conquered by the Yeastmaster
Monday, 19 April 2010
Leader of the Love Party Fay Freely awoke today to images from the 1983 film ‘Yeastmaster’ spread across this morning’s front pages. Freely is shown dancing scantily clad in Hickton Woods in the Berkshire countryside, covered in Marmite.
The plot involves Freely’s character being chased into a clearing, where a barbarian and a maiden sit by a cauldron filled with Marmite. The barbarian is then heard to shout, ‘Dance for me, slave girl!’ When asked for his opinion, opposition leader Steve Heaving said he was ‘mostly disgusted’.
Heaving gets smeared in North London
Wednesday, 14 April 2010
Earlier today, Hate Party leader Steve Heaving courted controversy at a north London school, when he attended an amnesty for Marmite-contaminated cutlery. A scuffle broke out after a protesting pupil caught him in the face with a Marmite filled water bomb.
Heaving was later heard to say: ‘There aren’t enough towel wipes in the world – I feel violated!’
Freely Does the Dishes
Thursday, 8 April 2010
The Love Party have released a new video giving voters an intimate view of life at home with Party Leader, Fay Freely. The video was intended to boost her credentials as a leader capable of balancing a career in politics and a happy family. However, the video clearly shows some cracks in Freely's carefully groomed image.
